Please accept my condolences and some encouragement from God’s Word.
The Bible makes it clear that God did not originally intend for humans to die. Due to Adam and Eve’s action we have inherited sin and death. - Genesis 1:28; 2:15-17; 3:19; Romans 5:12.
All was not lost. Jesus Christ said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” - John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15.
Not long after saying this, Jesus resurrected a widow’s only son, later, a twelve-year-old girl, and Jesus’ own friend Lazarus. By his miracles, Jesus showed on a small scale what will take place on earth under God’s Kingdom. - Luke 7:11-17; 8:40-56; John 11:11-44.
When the enemy death strikes, grief can be much, but as we draw close to God the Bible promises that “he will sustain you.” - Psalm 55:22.
I do hope these words give some comfort.

To my lovely Aunt Lucy. I have so many great memories of coming out to the house in Minooka, IL for the day. What a great time seeing the baby pheasant chicks, "Bullet" the german shephard dog, and playing games with my cousin Larry. Aunt Lucy took me to ride my first horse all by myself at a farm near their house. Thank you for that, it meant so much to me. God bless you, you were loved by so many people and will be missed very much.

I love that picture with her beautiful eyes. and smile! I remember Mrs. Broughton, "Kath's Mom" as being one of those lucky people who never grew old and stayed a child at heart--like Peter Pan. She loved her family and was ready for fun with family and friends. My other friends had mom's that seemed to be of the next generation. Kath's Mom was like a girlfriend. A wife of over 50 years, a loving mother and a child at heart. I am offering a prayer of thanksgiving for her life as I light a candle.

The most nice, sweet, and honest person one could know. No matter what, Lucy always had a smile on her face. I didn't know her for long, but for the time I did I could say I was glad to have known her. She truly had a beautiful soul and a kind heart. Our thoughts and hearts are with the Broughton family in this time of need. Rest in peace Lucy, you will be missed.
