Obituary of Eliza Irene Gause

Irene Gause, age 88, of Fort Myers, formally of LaBelle died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, in Joanne's House at Hope Hospice of Bonita Springs, FL. Irene was born July 16, 1922 in St. Clair County, AL. She is the daughter of the late William D. and the late Minnie (Jackson) Dison. She was a cook for the Hendry County Jail for many years. She is survived by her one daughter: Bobbie Faye (Boyd) Gause of LaBelle, FL and two sons: Joe (Darcy) Bowman of Fort Myers, FL, Claude Bowman; she also has twenty seven Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren; preceded in death by son, James Bowman, brother; Calvin Dison and sister, Estella Bowman. Graveside service was 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23 in Fort Denaud Cemetery, 1170 Cemetery Road, LaBelle, Fl with Pastor James Monson officiating. Interment was in Fort Denaud Cemetery, LaBelle. Visitation was 1 hour prior to service in Fort Denaud Cemetery, 1170 Cemetery Road, LaBelle, FL. Arrangements were handled by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - La Belle. .
