Please accept my condolences and some encouragement form God’s Word.
The Bible makes it clear that God did not originally intend for humans to die. Due to Adam and Eve’s action we have inherited sin and death. – Genesis 1:28; 2:15-17; 3:19; Romans 5:12.
All was not lost. Jesus Christ said: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” – John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15.
Not long after saying this, Jesus resurrected a widow’s only son. Later, a twelve-year-old girl, and Jesus’ own friend Lazarus. By his miracles, Jesus showed on a small scale what will take place on earth under God’s Kingdom. – Luke 7:11-17; 8:40-56; John 11:11-44.
When the enemy death strikes, grief can be much, but as we draw close to God the Bible promises that “he will sustain you.” – Psalm 55:22.
I do hope these words give some comfort.

I can't believe you left us at such a young age. You sure did pack a lot of living in that short time. I remember visiting your parents in N. Miami and all of the good times we had there. I stayed with you & Sue when Debbie & Douglas were small. I saw you guys again when you took your family for a trip up to New Hampshire. Then of course in later years we visited you in Clewiston which was always a good time. We were all glad when you & Rose found each other. She's a great gal and I know you will be greatly missed by her, as well as by your family & many friends. Keep my grandfather in line! Love you.

I have so many fond memories of all the years visiting you growing up & then when i wasnt a kid anymore. Everyone of them make me smile and laugh because of the fun and crazy times our family had every time we got together. You were a wonderful cousin even though we always called you "Uncle Dougy"! You were taken away far to early and will be greatly missed!
Thoughts & prayers to Rose, Doug, & Deborah

It is with great grief and a heavy heart that I light this candle for you Mr. Doug. The pain has not begun to work its way out of our hearts and tears continue to drop. I understand the pain you went through here on earth has subsided and I know it was not in your nature to want to leave in this fashion. May the light of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, guide you on your ever lasting journey and remember when the Lord calls upon us to join you one day, save us a few seats at the bar would ya?

"He's gone up to Heaven and now there's a new star in the sky at night." That's what I would tell Debbie and Douglas when they were little and we had lost someone in our family. It's a sad time for all of us who knew you Doug. Your family and friends miss you very much. You were such a good sport in this life. Friends were always kidding around with you because they knew that you could take a joke. I've heard it said that a man's wealth is determined not by how much money he has in the bank but rather by how many friends he has in his life. It would appear that you were a very wealthy man. In time our thoughts of you will bring a smile to our faces but for now we'll gaze at your star and be sad for what we have lost. God bless all of us who were lucky enough to know you and Rose whom you were lucky enough to find.

Every year growing up included a Florida visit and a trip to your place. You were the reason I learned to ride a four wheeler and a doom buggie. Every memory I have from your home was happy and full of excitement and most importantly love. Of course u were always crabby about us spoiling your dogs but you knew it was what was in your heart as well. You will be missed and I will surely save a dance for you when I see you in Heaven.
