Obituary of Della T. Ridgdill

Della T. Ridgdill, age 91, of LaBelle and a pioneer resident of Hendry County, passed away October 19, 2011in LaBelle. She was born March 24, 1920 in Felda, the daughter of the late Asa Barton Townsend and the late Nancy Jane (Altman) Townsend. She was a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Felda, the LaBelle Garden Club and The LaBelle Heritage Museum. Survivors include her son: Donald W. Ridgdill of LaBelle, daughter: Beverly Jo Ridgdill of LaBelle, grandchildren: Stephanie J. Ridgdill of Englewood, Patricia "Shellie" Reinbott of Live Oak and C. Michael Ridgdill of West Palm Beach, great-grandchildren: William Patrick Murphy, Courtney Reinbott, Dustin Reinbott and Grayson Reinbott. She was preceded in death by her husband: S.J. "Brown Tiger" Ridgdill Sr and sons: S.J. "Jack" Ridgdill Jr., Rodney B. Ridgdill, and Ronald E. Ridgdill. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, October 21, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Fort Denaud Cemetery with Pastor Preston Long officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Denaud Cemetery.
